Member of the Italian Bar Association, Luca Santaniello is an Italian lawyer (Avvocato) who assists and represents his clients, both in Italy and abroad, in matters concerning Italian Law, International Law, European Union Law and foreign legal systems.
He is admitted to practise law before all Italian Courts, including the Supreme Court of Cassation and the Council of State (the highest courts of appeal in Italy); he is also authorized to practise law before the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights.
In 2010 he founded Santaniello & Partners - International Law, an Italian law firm based in Rome, which deals with international litigation every day.
Due to his linguistic skills, Luca Santaniello is included in the lists of Italian lawyers provided to their citizens by the British Embassy in Italy, the Embassy of Canada in Italy and the Consulate General of Spain in Rome.
He provides legal advice directly to the Immigration and Refugees Board of Canada (the Canadian administrative tribunal for migrants and refugees) about Italian and European Union laws in the areas of immigration and human rights.
He collaborates with the International Child Abduction Center, a non-governmental organization based in the Netherlands, experienced with international child abduction cases.
Very well-experienced in the fields of disaster law (collapse of infrastructure, aviation and marittime disasters), terrorism's victims, personal injuries and fatal road accidents, Luca Santaniello represents many Italian and foreign families involved in tragic events and disasters in Italy and abroad.
He provides, as expert witness, legal opinions on Italian law and Italian private international law, to be used in the trials before the US Courts.
Mr. Santaniello provides to Japanese institutions, lawyers and private citizens, legal advice on the interpretation of Italian Law in the context of international disputes in Japan. After all, he has been one the first Italian lawyers dealing with international child abduction between Japan and Italy, after the accession of the Asian country to the 1980 Hague Convention on International Child Abduction in 2014.
